Following the release of our first Sustainability Report in 2023, Aden China continues to center its efforts around the vision of “Sustainable Transformation of the Built Environment” in 2024. This year’s report not only documents our ESG progress but also reflects our shared commitment with clients, employees, communities, and partners to advancing sustainable development together.
Environment: accelerating low-carbon transition through digitalization
In 2024, Aden China continued to advance its environmental protection goals, committing to achieve by 2030:
- 42% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions,
- 25% reduction in Scope 3 emissions,
- 42% reduction in total energy consumption,
- 10% reduction in water use while increasing waste recycling by 25%.
Through the Aden–Akila GHG Project, 15 project sites across China are now uploading energy consumption and waste data in real time via the Akila platform—enabling smarter energy management and supporting the company’s digital transformation toward low-carbon operations.
We also pushed forward our Green Packaging and Green Catering initiatives—reducing packaging material use across service delivery, promoting biodegradable and reusable materials, and lowering the carbon footprint by reducing beef options and introducing more plant-based menus.
In 2024, Aden’s GHG emission intensity (Scope 1+2) was maintained at 0.0024 tons of CO₂ per 10,000 RMB revenue, while total energy consumption intensity stood at 0.0049 MWh per 10,000 RMB revenue. There were zero environmental non-compliance incidents during the year.
Social: empowering people and giving back to communities
Aden China is committed to putting people at the center of our ESG strategy.
In 2024, we delivered 49,936 hours of occupational health and safety training with 100% coverage. The “ESG Moment” program, led by 29 ESG ambassadors nationwide, inspired teams to adopt green office practices and energy-saving behaviors.
Continuous learning is also a key part of our culture: employees received an average of 20+ training hours covering skills, leadership, and company culture. Through the OneVoice intranet, town halls, and union events, we continue to foster open and transparent internal communication.
In the community, Aden China maintains long-term partnerships with special education schools, providing social practice opportunities for youth with intellectual disabilities. We also support rural revitalization and organize environmental volunteering activities to encourage active participation from employees.
Governance: building a strong ESG framework with integrity at the core
Aden has established a company-wide ESG management framework built on four pillars: minimizing environmental impact, empowering our people, healthy and responsible growth, and continuous innovation.
In 2024, 100% of employees received training on business ethics. There were no confirmed cases of corruption, lawsuits, or privacy violations involving clients, employees, or suppliers.
