Aden Services resumes operations in Laos with a landmark partnership at Nam Theun 2 Hydroelectric Project

Aden Services is proud to announce the launch of a new five-year partnership with the Nam Theun 2 Hydroelectric Project (NT2) in Laos. This collaboration marks the next chapter in Aden’s long-standing involvement in one of Southeast Asia’s largest renewable energy initiatives, known for its critical role in generating 1,070 MW of clean electricity for both Laos and Thailand.

Strategic partnership for sustainable development

The new partnership involves Aden’s Remote & Off-Grid division managing the camp facilities at Residence Nam Theun. This purpose-built community is designed to support the engineers, managers, and long-term staff who play a crucial role in the ongoing success of this project. The residential area features villas, recreational facilities, a swimming pool, and shared spaces, providing a comfortable living environment for all personnel working on the NT2 project.

Aden will deliver a wide range of life and facility services, ensuring every aspect of residential life is managed efficiently and with the highest quality standards. Services will include accommodation, catering, hygiene, recreation, landscaping, and community building — all tailored to the needs of the workers who are integral to the project’s success.

A strong partnership with NTPC

This partnership also marks a significant milestone in Aden’s ongoing collaboration with Nam Theun Power Company (NTPC). The relationship, which began in the early 2000s, is now entering a new phase. NTPC is a joint venture formed by Électricité de France (EDF), Lao Holding State Enterprise, and the Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCO) of Thailand. It is an exemplary model of international cooperation, blending expertise from Europe and Asia to develop sustainable infrastructure and deliver clean energy at scale.

For Aden Services, this contract represents more than just facilities management; it is a flagship project in Southeast Asia that integrates renewable energy, complex infrastructure, and the well-being of hundreds of residents. It is a reflection of Aden’s mission to provide innovative solutions that balance technical excellence with human comfort.

We are honored to resume our operations on the Nam Theun 2 project and are excited to contribute to the continued success of this iconic renewable energy initiative.
